Matts rally career only began in 2004 but right from the very beginning success has come naturally.

Winning the MGZR Scholarship at his first attempt, Matt then defended his title in 2005, winning the British Rally Championship 'Stars of the Future 1400 Class' as well.

In 2006 the young service technician upgraded to a more powerful MGZR 160 and despite facing some stiff competition Matt clinched the R3 Championship on Wales Rally GB.

2007 then saw Matt face some tough opposition in the BRC with Vesa Mikkola (son of Hannu Mikkola) and works prepared Suzukis and Citroen C2R2's but after being nominated the 'Pirelli Star Driver' on day 1 of Wales Rally GB he went on to clinch the BRC R2 Championship.

Matt, who has twice been voted Nuneaton and Bedworth Senior Sports personality of the year, was recently given a presentation by Motorsport in the Midlands for his 2007 success.

He continues to achieve mighty results on a tight budget!
